Jerry Seinfeld is clearing up his recent comments about autism spectrum disorders.
In a Wednesday interview with Access Hollywood‘s Billy Bush, Seinfeld backed away from statements he made earlier this month to NBC Nightly News host Brian Williams in which he claimed to be on the autism spectrum.
“I don’t have autism; I’m not on the spectrum,” Seinfeld told Bush.

The Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee star said that people were making too much of an issue of his previous statements. “I just was watching this play about it and … I related to it on some level,” the legendary comedian continued. “That’s all I was saying.”
In his Nov. 6 interview with Williams, Seinfeld told the news anchor, “I think I’m on the spectrum,” adding that “basic social engagement is really a struggle.”
