CS2 Weekly Care Package: Reset Time & Rewards in 2024

In Counter-Strike 2, there is a new way to get free items for ranking up. It is called the CS2 weekly Care Package, available in the in-game shop for all players to enjoy.

In this guide, we explain how the weekly Care Package in Counter-Strike 2 works, what options you have in terms of rewards you can pick, and what day and time it resets so you can get even more free items!

CS2 Care Package Reset Day & Time

At the time of writing, we are in the first week of Counter-Strike 2's release. With that being said, we expect the Care Package reset day each week to be Tuesday. The weekly Care Package batch in CS2 should reset at about 17:00 to 18:00 PT each Tuesday.

We will update this section as soon as precise reset times for this free item feature via the in-game CS2 store become available.

Counter-Strike 2 Care Package Free Item Rewards

First up, don't worry; you don't need to play Premier Mode to earn free item rewards in the CS2 weekly Care Package system. Instead, you just need to level up your private rank by playing CS2 matches of any type until you level up.

On your first level-up of the week, your Care Package free items for the week will be revealed. At this point, you can choose two (2) of four (4) random rewards. 

Rewards include random weapon skins of various quality, of course, as well as a Spray and a Weapon Case. This is, in our opinion, much better than the previous random reward players got for ranking up in CS:GO. Giving players this choice in Counter-Strike 2, and making the whole system more clean and transparent is a great step by Valve.
